Mixed Bag

My morning started by reading about Sammy Yatim today.

I kept staring at the paper and the image of the teenager, his mother and sister. Just wondering why he failed to meet the people he promised to catch up later that evening?
Why did he touch the weights before leaving home that day?
As a parent it did make me ponder over the incident. What troubles was he facing?
What was going on in his mind when he boarded that streetcar?
Life is so uncertain. You are breathing and alive one minute and the next moment you are gone.
Death is never an easy topic to discuss...

Moving onto other things...

Can you imagine a burglar breaking in and not stealing?
Not just that, he was even thanked by the home owner. Interesting read by Toronto Star.

Food sure does make the world go round--

I read this piece of news with great interest. Hyderabadi Haleem goes global and that there will be outlets opened in the US.

My immediate response after reading this piece was to check the recipe followed by adding ingredients to the grocery list.
I am one of those people who go shopping for grocery after reading and browsing interesting recipes.
Well, that is all I do, buy groceries and forget to follow recipes!!!
Oh no, I do not waste them. I end up using it in my own recipe I create depending on my mood.
The reason is simple, I cannot follow the measures, cooking time, etc. I am more of a rustle-up-a-meal person.
Therefore, if you are one of those people who buy groceries for a recipe, remember, there is one more member out there somewhere...
