Everytime, I take a walk down the aisles where there are tons and tons of attractive colors/shades for eyes, lips, cheeks, nails, and toes, I blush. Oh gosh. why? No idea, maybe it is lost somewhere in my thoughts which I am planning to share with you all.
I look at the well sharpened pencils. Different pencils, an out liner for eyes, lip liner for lips, I am lured into buying them. I am so sure, my puffy eyes, complete with bags under my eyes and dark circles will look like the model who is wearing that eye pencil, liner she is modelling for.
My lips, hardly visible to the outside world, because mother nature forgot to pump it up. Therefore, if I see a lip liner and a lipstick shade I love, I immediately know, this tube will give me what mother nature forgot to.
It is not just about bags under the eyes, thin set lips, my eyebrows are nonexistent too, so are my eye lashes. sparsely spread over my eyes. Aaaaaahhhh Grrrrr. I tried using black and brown eye shadow powder to give my brows a natural arch. Followed by pencil to outline and give a shape to my brows. It works very well, but then, I do not have the patience to spend forty minutes to make my brow look 'natural'. On days when I do not spend working, toiling on my brows, I look like a spud.
Well there are good days, when I get into the 'eye look'. That means, I will spend time nurturing my eyebrows, followed by adding lashes; with a large dose of help by Madame Mascara. I dig into the eye liner kit, and get my best smoky eyes after Drew Barrymore. After I am done toiling on my eye make-up, I look at the reflection staring back at me and I blow a loud whistle making a 'wow' sound with my unmade lips. seriously, my eyes look that good. Hmm, but what about the day/days after the made-up-eye-day look? Even if people are dragged straight out of bed, they will not look so puffed up and face-heavy. Why, oh why did mother nature not work hard on my looks? I was not asking for much, I wanted my eyes a little larger, my bulbous nose, a little sharper, eyebrows and eye lashes could do with few extra strands... Mother nature could have given me a little extra protrusion and I would have got a pout that would have put Angelina Jolies, Kareena Kapoors to shame.
I know there is help hidden in those aisles in the form of colors, brushes, tubes, etc. But I need something more, a lot more than what those shelves have stocked. I am willing to let go of nagging mother nature, all I am asking is for a stick-on, a mask or anything with all my missing features that I can just wear when I am steeping out of my home.
