Tower, Train and Tour of Toronto
I was born and raised in a city. But always remained suburban person, 'just outskirts of the city' person...
All is well, no issues, because I did get to love most part of my day in the city, first as a student and later years as an employee. I emigrated and lived in different countries and well, guess what? I was the chosen suburbanite. And not just one country, but three different continents and countries.
I wanted to be a part of the downtown crowd in Toronto after coming to Canada, the closest I got to a downtown was in my city Mississauga. Once again the downtown life eluded me.
Every time I go to downtown, I feel like I am playing a part in the movie Out-Of-Towners (1970 or 1999 release, does not matter). I know for sure, the downtown crowd, from afar can tell that I am a suburbanite and I hate it. And yet here I am, with my fascination for everything connected to downtown. This time around, on my one of those rare trips to downtown (in a decade maybe 7th trip), I surprised myself by taking pictures of everything including a Go Train, CN Tower and a cool, quaint little coffee shop/ First stop was pure business. Hour later, visit to this coffee shop called Farenheit, excellent coffee a neat decor. Banana muffins are to die for. Loved the combination of coffee and muffin. I opted for an americano complete with half and half and sugar. Walked a bit around the blocks breathing the downtown air. Hour later had to hit the road, back to the 'burbs' home sweet home in 'Sauga', but not before taking some pictures of my dream destination, THE DOWNTOWN.
