Chicken in Coconut gravy
Chicken marinaded with turmeric and garama masalas
Grind together 2 med sized onions, 8 green chillis,
8 garlic cloves small piece of ginger, tsp whole
black pepper, bunch of coriander
Heat oil in a pan add few curry leaves, add the
coconut mix. Fry the mix till oil starts surfacing.
add chicken fry for about 8 minutes.
add 2 medium sized tomatos, tbsp of kokum and
cook for 5 mins and add half a cup of water
and allow it to boil, later cook on simmer
for 8 minutes. once done, garnish with
fresh coriander and serve with chapati/rice

1.5 lbs chicken pieces
Grind together

2 tomatos
8 green chillis
8 garlic cloves
small ginger
tsp black pepper
bunch of fresh coriander
For garnish and marinade
few sprigs of curry leaves
tsp turmeric powder
tsp garam masala
tbsp kokum
5 tbsp oil
PS I wanted to try something different. therefore used coconut as a base for the chicken curry. I also understood how important to combine coconut and pepper corns. Unless you use this spice, the green chillis don't add the spicy punch to the curry.
